Parvata Limited Edition by Jean-Marie Massaud

Parvata Limited Edition is a special project by Jean-Marie Massaud for CC-FOR EDUCATION, the non-profit organization created in 2015 by cc-tapis.

Massaud designed a limited edition of 6 hand-knotted rugs made entirely in silk with linen borders. Each piece is complemented with a signed and individually numbered plaque.

 

 

The Parvata Limited Edition is created by Tibetan and Nepalese artisans and 100% of the proceeds of the sale of these rugs fund CC-FOR EDUCATION and the 2 private schools they sponsor in Nepal, guaranteeing the children of weavers a full and complete education.

 

Massaud was inspired by the Himalayas which can be seen from the cc-tapis Atelier and had the chance to see first-hand how the rugs are created but importantly to visit CC-FOR EDUCATION’s partners.

CC-FOR EDUCATION now sponsors over 50 children in two private schools and 1 university student at the Nepalese Engineering college.

This project would not have been possibile without the incredible generosity of Jean-Marie Massaud, we will always be grateful to him and the time he dedicated to this project.

The first of 6 limited edition pieces was presented at Maison & Objet in 2019 at the Silvera boutique in Paris.
